How many Czech companies are hiring right now, and who are they looking for?

We looked at every public job ad we processed from jobs.cz, the largest Czech job board, in October 2026. Here is what the data shows.

The most common roles

Most common job types in ads Number of ads by keyword in the job title. Categories can overlap. | Graphic: Hiringly, source: jobs.cz

What stands out:

  • Technical roles lead. "Technician" or "engineer" appears in 1,755 titles, almost one in ten ads.
  • Sales is still in demand. 1,335 ads look for sales people.
  • High-volume hiring is big. Temporary jobs (712), warehouse and logistics (450) and production operators (371) add up to over 1,500 ads.
  • Healthcare is short of staff. 369 ads seek nurses, more than developers (297).

Temporary, warehouse and production roles have one thing in common: a single ad draws dozens of applications, and companies often screen them by hand. See high-volume hiring with AI.

Where employers hire

  • Prague has 6,707 ads, more than the next nine cities combined.
  • Brno is a clear second with 1,716.
  • Ostrava and Plzeň both have 687.
  • Among smaller cities, Mladá Boleslav (192) and Kladno (118) stand out, both strong manufacturing hubs.

What the ads say

What job ads mention Share of ads whose text mentions a topic. | Graphic: Hiringly, source: jobs.cz

  • 41% state pay in CZK. The rest don't publish pay or state it differently.
  • English comes up in just under a fifth of ads.
  • Home office is mentioned in only 9%.
  • AI is mentioned in 882 ads (4.8%). 79 roles have AI right in the title.
  • A four-day week is offered by just 26 ads.

What it means for employers

  1. Competition for technical and sales talent is fierce. Ads need to stand out: pay, concrete tasks, a fast reply.
  2. Stating pay is an edge. Most ads still don't, so those that do stand out.
  3. Speed wins in high-volume hiring. Whoever replies first usually gets the candidate. Reading hundreds of CVs by hand slows you down.
  4. AI is only starting to show up. One in 20 ads mentions it, but employers increasingly expect it from candidates and use it in hiring.

Methodology

  • Data: 18,526 public job ads from jobs.cz processed in October 2026 (last update 27 October 2026).
  • Role categories: based on keywords in the job title. One ad can fall into several categories; some fall into none.
  • Cities: based on the ad's location. Prague includes all districts.
  • Ad content: keyword search in the ad text (e.g. "Kč", "home office", "umělá inteligence").
  • The data is a snapshot. We will track trends (what grows and what shrinks) in future editions.
