Key points
- The typical advertised salary in Czech job ads with a range is about CZK 50,000 gross per month.
- Prague and Pilsen offer the most (CZK 52,500); among large cities Liberec offers the least (CZK 40,000).
- By field, sales (CZK 60,000) and IT & data (CZK 57,500) lead; warehouse & logistics is lowest (CZK 39,500).
- Only about 6% of ads state a concrete salary range. Those that do stand out.
How much are Czech employers offering right now? We went through more than 18,000 October job ads on jobs.cz and kept the ones with a concrete monthly salary range in Czech crowns: 1,064 ads.
For each ad we took the midpoint of the range (CZK 40,000 to 50,000 becomes 45,000) and calculated the median. The median is the middle value: half of the ads offer more, half less, and a few very high offers cannot skew it.
Salaries by city
Median midpoint of the advertised range. Cities with at least 10 ads with a stated salary.
- Prague and Pilsen share the top spot at CZK 52,500.
- Brno, Olomouc, České Budějovice and Jihlava sit at CZK 50,000.
- Ostrava and Pardubice are just below CZK 50,000.
- Hradec Králové and Liberec offer the least, around CZK 40,000 to 43,000.
The gap between Prague and other regional capitals is smaller than you might expect. A lot depends on which roles publish a salary in each city, so treat figures for smaller cities as indicative.
Salaries by field
Field assigned from the job title.
- Sales (CZK 60,000): the figure may be lifted by commission, which some employers include in the quoted pay.
- IT & data (CZK 57,500): developers, analysts and system administrators.
- Engineering (CZK 55,000): design engineers, technologists, project engineers.
- Manufacturing (CZK 45,000): operators, assembly, welders and CNC.
- Administration (CZK 41,500) and warehouse (CZK 39,500) are at the bottom.
What it means for employers
- Publish the salary. Ads with a concrete range are a minority, so they get noticed.
- Benchmark against your region, not Prague. An offer of CZK 45,000 in Liberec is above the local median.
- In manufacturing and warehousing details matter too: shifts, sign-on bonus, commuting support.
When one ad brings in a lot of applicants, a system that sorts them helps. Hiringly is a free AI ATS: it ranks applicants by fit and explains each ranking in a sentence. A human always makes the decision.
What it means for candidates
- The median is a guide. Real offers depend on experience, company size and shifts.
- If an ad does not state a salary, ask for the range in the first round.
- Browse open roles across the Czech Republic on the Hiringly job board, no registration needed.
Method
- Source: public job ads on jobs.cz, end of October 2026.
- Only ads with a monthly CZK range were included; hourly and per-shift rates were excluded.
- For national average wages see the Czech Statistical Office. CZSO measures salaries actually paid; we measure what new job ads offer.

FAQ
What is the typical advertised salary in Czech job ads? About CZK 50,000 gross per month in ads with a stated range; CZK 52,500 in Prague and Pilsen.
Which field pays the most? Sales (CZK 60,000, often including commission) and IT & data (CZK 57,500).
Why are some cities lower? It depends on the mix of roles that publish a salary in each city. Samples for smaller cities are small (about 10 to 30 ads), so figures are indicative.
Is this the same as the average wage? No. We measure offers in new job ads; the Czech Statistical Office measures wages actually paid to all employees.
